Bears spend a lot of their lives in preferred solitude. Wolves live in great packs lead by an Alpha female and alpha Male, being the only ones who are allowed to extend their genes. The other wolves hunt in packs and the cubs spend 3 months in a den with their mother before stepping into the world. The Bjulve flock is half wolves and half bears. The hybrid combined the secludedness of the bear with the elaborate flock structure of a wolf pack.

Flock mentality is seen with the artistic and scientific eyes of 28 children originally staged in the constructed enclosures of the Zoological garden in Copenhagen. At the Museum/Kunsthal the students perform their hybrid animal flock performance. Inviting the audience into the flock and letting them participate in a series of common rituals and personal stories.

The piece is produced and curated for FOCUS video art festival in Copenhagen at Nikolaj Kunsthal. FLOCKS is financed by the Danish Art Foundation, Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
