GROW SPROUT!
for little ones
Meet the Talking Tree, the squirrel friend and Tree Storyteller in the forest's Wood Wide Web
Experience the season and the forest with your body, meet us in the forest in the green spring, feel the warm summer sun, see autumn's orange, yellow and red colors or if you are very lucky experience freshly fallen snow.
The Talking tree awaits the children at the edge of the forest. You travel together into the forest to meet the Family of Trees. Set off with a special backpack on your back to the small hyphae in the Wood Wide Web.
You transform into trees and meet Talking tree's orange-red squirrel friend.
You travel further with Squirrel Friend and her orange-red playful friends. You fly in the treetops, gather supplies, build a winter hibernation cave, and listen to the song of the forest. Squirrel Friend leads you to the tree storyteller, who shows a puppet play The Little Squirrel and the Secret of the Oldest Trees. The children plant trees together with the tree storyteller and follow the mushroom trail back to the start.

Sensory performance - walking in the Wood Wide Web
Trees communicate with each other, look after their offspring and take care of their old and sick neighbours.
Trees have feelings, sensations and memory. Trees warn other trees about potential enemies. Under the forest floor, information travels via the hyphae network, fungal threads stretched out between the trees' root network, a forest Wood Wide Web..
The forest is calling all children are invited to visit the Talking Tree.
It will ask you and your friends questions, write answers in its guestbook.
What kind of tree are you?
How many branches do you have?
Can you feel your roots?
What do you grow from?
And much, much more, the Talking Tree asks...
You all set off with backpacks to visit the family tree and find the oldest great-grandmother tree in the forest.
You feel her old barky skin. A story begins about the long-legged hyphae that live underground.
In the tree crowns of the forest lives the tree's red squirrel friend.
You will visit the squirrel friend and all her squirrel friends.
They will take you on a flight from tree to tree. You will hear the song of the forest.
Meet the tree storyteller, watch the puppet show and help the trees grow.
You will find your own way back by following the mushroom trail
with purple Amethyst, Trumpet Cap and yellow Chanterelles.
In the performance GROW SPROUT! children experience the forest with all their senses on a short hike. Together with a talking tree, they venture into the WOOD WIDE WEB forest's own internet. Where the trees talk to each other through a network of hyphae between the roots under the forest floor.
Arboreal biological knowledge is the foundation of the performance's lyrical and humorous approach to the tree families. It is in the interaction between the living tree, its friends and the tree narrator that the youngest children in the audience intuitively experience the forest at a calm forest pace. Their sensory knowledge of flora and fungi in the forest is anchored physically when we immerse ourselves in different audience constellations. As the senses are challenged, the experience of the interrelationship of plant species is expanded.
All performances are adapted to the forest's or Parcs tree species and season.
